Oh hey MiWorld has an accessory pack for the Italia Pizza Shop. Why would you just buy this accessory pack of a pizza tray and 6 pepperoni pizza slices?

Because of awesome.

Vending Machine

So it looks like MiWorld has expanded their playset line to include a Mrs. Fields store, a Sketcher's store, and a karaoke studio. But even more exciting, they've released some stand alone accessories: a photo booth and a vending machine.

A vending machine in scale with 5 and 6 inch figures? Sign me up!

The machine has some interesting play features. The middle column of bottles can actually be dispensed, but only if you use the provides bottles. There's a card reader and fake credit card that simulates the act of paying by card, and the machine opens up so you can put whatever you want in there. So, you know, if you want it to sell batarangs...

Chaser the saluki DJ

I've bought 3 of these blind packed Puppy in my Pocket figures from a 99cent bin trying to get this guy. Each figure is flocked with faux fur, comes with a soft rubber jacket and some plastic accessories. Chaser is the first of the three I'm happy with because he's a DJ and that means he's a dog who has somehow mastered the turntables.

It's so ridiculous that I can't help but be amused.

Razor Scooter

So at the San Jose toy show I found something awesome in one of the 50 cent bins. This Razor Scooter. Toy sized. I assume it's in the same vein as Flick Trix and those tiny skateboards the kids are into.

But this, this I wanted because it was 50 cents and I wondered what toy lines it would be in scale with. So I ended up with this picture.

Ecto

This is a Moshi Monster moshling from the blind packed series 2. I thought it was supposed to be green, like on the package. Nope, translucent purple with glitter. That's odd. Dunno if I prefer it this way or not. I feel like, if he's green you get a better sense that this is supposed to be a ghost.

Either way, it was on sale, which is good because the MSRP of $2 is too much. $1 though...

Chatter Teeth

It's a staple of bad comedy, but I've never actually seen a pair of these things in person. Then I did, at the Dollar Tree and decided to pick it up. It's made of cheaper material and doesn't really make the clacking noise you'd think it would, but for $1 it's a nice little novelty item.

It's a wind up toy, and for some reason it chatters at near hypersonic speed. (hyperbole) But it's more fun than you would think, so a good value.

Hex Bug, gift card

So there's a new Target gift card and it includes a free Hex Bug attached to it. So I figured, why not, free Hex Bug. It's designed to look like a caterpillar and includes wings to turn it into a butterfly.

If you've wandered the toy aisles you've probably seen Hex Bugs. I sure have. Of course I also had no idea what they were. Well now I do.

It's basically a Zhu-Zhu pet but much smaller and faster. I turned it on and it began vibrating and moving and I almost lost it because it went so fast that I could barely keep track of it. I was only able to pick it up because it got lodged in a pile of junk I had at the end of the table. If I had turned this on in my kitchen, I'm pretty sure it'd be under the fridge right now.

So yeah, I see why Hex Bugs wants you to buy their little bug tracks.

Buyer's Remorse: Easter Weekemd Edition

It's time for another post in the semi-regular Buyer's Remorse feature, where I run down what I bought and tell  you why, and if I regret it enough to return it. The items this week are from this recent Easter Weekend. I also saw some Avengers Legos at a Target, but not the set I wanted, so I skipped them.

Pinypon
I have no idea what this is, but it was in the Target Easter clearance bins for $1.50 and the dude has a pixelated picture of a robot on his shirt. At least I think its a he. The packaging seems to say that all the other figures are girls. And the website is based in Spain. Weird.

The internet says its a new collectible doll with interchangeable hair, clothes, and other accessories. And they have two faces on their head? Probably like the Legos. For $1.50 I'm willing to see what's going on. That's cheaper than a Happy Meal toy.

Darth Vader
Dude, it's a tiny plush Darth Vader for $2. (Again, Target Easter Clearance bins.) The only thing I haven't figured out is if the Jelly Bean bag and associated ribbon is attached to his hands or can be removed without damaging the figure.

Batman Legacy: Arkham City Batman & Catwoman
Found these at a Toys R Us. They had these and the black and white ones which I didn't even consider buying. But this... They're a bit bigger than the DCUC figures, but it's the cheapest I'll get a modern looking 6" Catwoman with Mattel level articulation. Still... $30 for two figures... Wait, that's actually cheaper than Target.

Marvel Grab Zags
Based on jboypacman's posts I decided I wanted to get the Cyclops mini vinyl figure because Cyclops is awesome. Unfortunately it took me buying and opening a package with Spider-Man in it to figure out how to properly squeeze and feel for Cyclops. It's possible but you have to figure out what you're looking for. They're both open so I'm not going to be returning either of these.

Vanity
12-inch figure, or 1:6 scale. I've actually been considering getting this figure for about 2 years now. And I'm seeing a small resurgence of interest in the 12 inch figures from my brain, so I figured: Now or never. Ordered it online, so returning it is very difficult.

Well, that's it! Oh wait, there's also a Justin Bieber set that I bought for the accessories, but I might return that... if for no other reason than I think I can get it cheaper elsewhere.

Buyer's Remorse: Fake Poop edition

So hey, fake poop for a $1 at Target. But to keep it or not to keep it? It's only $1. I spend more on that on a candy bar. But that's a $1 I can spend on Green Lantern toys. And as Ben Franklin once said, "Dipshit, save your money so you can spend it on better things."

But on the keep it side of the argument, it makes a squeak noise when you squeeze it.
