Gift Card Bag Toss
Okay, one thing. This target gift card comes with tiny bean bags that are actually bean bags. So since it's a gift card set, free mini bean bags.

Pigs in Space
Ever since I got First Mate Piggy, I've been looking at maybe picking up the rest of the Swinetrek crew. Unfortunately, like most Palisades Muppet figures, they were ludicrously overpriced. Recently I found them at a price I'm okay with, so now I can add Link Hogthrob and Julius Strangepork to my slowly growing Muppet collection. Which is great!
I'm always impressed with how much articulation these figures have, since I usually expect just a few cut joints. The figures are just so well sculpted that conditioning has me expecting 90's McFarlane levels of articulation.
The accessories are also kinda awesome, you get some blasters, a copy of a sci-fi magainze (StarHog) featuring Link on the covers, a model of the Swinetrek, and a R2-D2 esque robot.
I admit that Pigs in Space was never my favorite Muppet Show sketch, but these toys make me want to revisit them and maybe change my mind. I mean, c'mon, look at the plot synopsis of one of the stories.
The Swinetrek is bombarded by snacko waves, which turn everybody's heads into food.

Iron Mickey
Saw this at a Toys R Us. I've been expecting something like this ever since Disney bought Marvel. You knew this was going to happen eventually.
Labels:
Barbie,
Cartoon Characters,
Disney,
Marvel,
Plush Toys
Granny Apple
I've wanted the non-neon version of this figure for a while because it's a horse using a walker. This happens every now and then on the show My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, but c'mon the idea is hilarious.
It's a horse with a bad hip who needs a walker.
Unfortunately, the only way to get this figure is in a 3 pack with 2 figures I don't care about. But yesterday I found one in the wave 8 Neon Pony blind pack box so I figured, why not. I'm pretending that the coloring is due to her being an irradiated horse who is using a walker. Because I've read comic books an have come to understand that radiation = magic.

Brother Warth
I totally thought this dude's name was Brother Wrath in a nod to some sort of Irony since the dude is one of the Blue Lanterns, a lantern of hope. My Mattel splurge at the toy show had me jonesing to build up my 6 inch Lantern Corps collection, so I finally bit the bullet and picked up Warth after years of fence sitting. Idioms, gotta love em. Warth is a solid piece of plastic, although the skirt is made of that soft rubber that has that weird sheen toys made of soft rubber eventually get.
Also, his tiny feet on the thick legs worry me a bit. Otherwise, a solid figure with a fairly good set of articulation. I mean, no knee articulation, but cut feet.

Captain Janeway and 7 of 9
Toys R Us exclusive in the Star Trek Minimate wave knows as "Captains."
I thought they had neglected Voyager, but I can happily say they did not. So I get a Janeway minimate, although she does not come with an iconic Voyager villain, probably because that was not a thing that existed.
